





Ron Dobey,
producer/partner for several Vanguard projects, is a musician and composer
with many years of experience in the music industry where he has been involved
in performing, recording and teaching. He has written music for a number of
film documentaries as well as music videos and multimedia productions. In
his work, he combines advanced digital technologies with traditional analog
sounds and acoustic instruments.
He is also a partner with the firm of Pricewaterhouse-Coopers, LLP where he
works with clients in the financial services industry, specializing in the
Investment Management sector.
Karin Eberhardt is a teacher, writer and lecturer in the field of cross-cultural education and international affairs. She spent many years writing and performing in German and Italian theater. This included a traveling theater repertory company which performed throughout Europe. She has M.A. degrees in German as well as English and American Literature from the Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany and has worked on various German-American projects as a translator.
Andrea Marquez, producer/partner for several Vanguard projects, is the founder and president of Marquez Studio Graphic Design, designing and producing graphics for AT&T, the June Kelly Gallery, City Harvest, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and the 92nd Street Y, among other companies and organizations. An award-winning designer, she has served as photography consultant and art director at major advertising companies and magazines, including Mademoiselle. Andrea is also a successful fundraiser who has worked closely with marketing and fundraising associations.
Marla
Shelton is a producer with Zeuxis Films in New York City,
a film production company specializing in short and feature film co-productions
with French, Brazilian, and English partners. She is an instructor at New
York University and has worked for Merchant Ivory and Caroline Jones Advertising.
She has worked on several films as production and post-production coordinator,
and assistant to the director. She has a Doctorate from the University of
South California's School of Cinema-TV.
Sheila Maniar
is a researcher and associate producer who has worked in film archives inter-nationally.
Her recent projects include Citizen King, Iceman 2, and Look
for Me in the Whirlwind: Marcus Garvey. She has worked for The History
Channel, ABC News, HBO, and PBS, and holds a M.A. in International Affairs
from the University of Pittsburgh.
Arabella
Hutter is a film and television producer whose work includes
films and documentaries for the British Film Institute, the BBC, and Channel
4, in addition to several international independent and experimental films.
She was production manager on a number of critically acclaimed projects, including
14 episodes of “Inside the Actors’ Studio” for Bravo and
the 1996 PBS documentary “Connections,” about the preservation
of the American landscape. She has been a producer at Decoy Films in New York
City since 2000.
Alicia Nichols
is a graphic designer and painter who produces music and art events nationwide
for MeanRed Productions. She was a publicist for the Bushwick Art Project,
New York's first multimedia art and electronic music festival. She received
the Diploma Superior de Espanol from the Spanish Government and has studied
at the School of Visual Arts in New York and the University of Delaware.
